Karbraqbo Peak ( I, II) Expedition

Karbraqbo Peak Expedition

Karpo Braqbo Valley / Ghanche District — ~6,000m

Karbraqbo Peak (also known as Karpo Braqbo Peak I / II) is a pristine ~6,000-meter alpine objective located within the unexplored Karpo Braqbo Valley near Kanday and Hushe in the Ghanche District of Baltistan. Situated in the shadow of the Masherbrum and K6/K7 massifs, this region is celebrated for its lush alpine meadows, uncrowded granite spires, and technical ice ridges.

Karbraqbo Peak serves as an ideal, highly rewarding target for alpinists seeking a premier technical 6,000m climb away from crowded commercial routes, as well as an exceptional acclimatization peak for higher Karakoram goals. We provide full Base Camp logistics and operational support — including official permit processing with the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Department, 4×4 road transfers, local Balti high-altitude staff, kitchen crew, and complete Base Camp setup.

Route & Climbing History: Tucked within the Karpo Braqbo sanctuary, Karbraqbo Peak offers clean granite ridges, steep snow couloirs, and low valley accessibility. The standard climbing route involves navigating lateral glacier moraines, establishing a high camp, and negotiating technical mixed terrain (45°–55° snow/ice) along the summit crest.

Climbing grade: Technical alpine climb (AD / 45°–52° snow/ice & mixed rock) — short valley approach trek, glacier navigation, fixed-line setup, and moderate-to-steep technical exposure. Designed for competent, experienced climbers.
