Barah Broq & Moses Peak Summit Trek

Barah Broq & Moses Peak Summit Trek

Ghanche District, Baltistan / Masherbrum Range — 5,300m

Directly above the green oasis of Barah Village in Ghanche District lies the Barah Broq & Moses Peak Summit Trek, widely regarded as the ultimate non-technical high-altitude vantage point in the Karakoram. This itinerary leads trekkers through lush summer pastures (broqs), past high-altitude turquoise alpine lakes, and up the summit ridge of Moses Peak (5,300m)—delivering an unmatched 360-degree panorama of four 8,000-meter giants: K2 (8,611m), Broad Peak (8,051m), Gasherbrum I (8,080m), and Gasherbrum II (8,035m).

Unlike multi-week glacier expeditions, the ascent to Moses Peak via Barah Broq allows trekkers to reach a serious 5,300m summit vantage point in just a few days of sustained hiking without specialized mountaineering equipment.
