nangma valley
Baltistan is a beautiful valley in the Karakoram range and a famous destination for adventure and cultural travels. This region is known as the mountaineers’ paradise. Four of the 14 peaks above 8000m high are situated in the Baltistan region, and hundreds of 7000 m high mountains, along with world-famous trekking routes, are also located in Baltistan. It is also home to several diversified cultures, ethnic groups, and languages. Baltistan has colorful flowers, gushing streams, emerald lakes, lush green pastures, apricot orchids, and the always smiling & welcoming Balti people. When Eduard Koblmiller set foot in the Nangma Valley during his successful K6 expedition in 1970, he described it as a place of “unusual and primordial beauty.” The Nangma Valley looks like an impressionist painting with extreme colour contrasts and abstract lines that point to the sky with astonishing verticality. The valley’s beauty is almost touching, and unlike other and much more famous places, the base camps are only a short hike from the valley. Pakistan’s Nangma Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys in Pakistan, thanks to the massive rock walls that tower over you. This trek takes place in a less-visited part of the Karakoram, but one that will delight you.
