Take the spectacular morning flight from Islamabad to Skardu, weather permitting. On clear days, enjoy stunning views of Nanga Parbat from the aircraft. Upon arrival, the day is free to explore Skardu Valley and complete local shopping. Acclimatize and prepare for the trek ahead.

Visit historic Kharpocho Fort perched on a mountain overlooking Skardu town, offering panoramic views of the Indus River valley. Optional excursion to beautiful Sadpara Lake followed by shopping time in Skardu Bazaar. Our staff handles government documentation and permit processing.

Begin the epic journey to the Baltoro region with a spectacular jeep safari through Shigar Valley. Follow the Braldu River to Askole, the last village with road access and the gateway to the Karakoram. The journey takes 6-8 hours depending on road conditions.

Begin trekking after porter loading and final preparations. Cross the snout of Biafo Glacier with initial moraine walking. Pass the confluence of Braldu and Domordo rivers, cross by bridge, and descend to follow the Braldu River bank to reach camp at Jhola.

Follow the dramatic Braldu gorge along the river bank with stunning views of Trango Towers and Cathedral Peak. Cross several glacier streams depending on water levels. On clear days, spot the snout of Baltoro Glacier. Climb away from the river to camp at Paiju, the last camp with trees for some time.

Crucial acclimatization day at Paiju Camp. While porters bake bread for the week ahead on the glacier, take an optional acclimatization walk toward Paiju Peak base camp. This rest day is essential for proper altitude adjustment before continuing onto the Baltoro Glacier.

Begin glacier trekking onto the mighty Baltoro. Navigate continuous ups and downs on glacial moraine with spectacular views of Trango Towers and Uli Biaho. Cross the glacier to Liligo, then follow a rocky trail along the glacier edge to Khoburtse camp.

Continue on the Baltoro, crossing two small glaciers with increasingly dramatic mountain views. Trango Towers dominate the skyline. Ascend 100 meters above the glacier to camp at Urdukus near the army camp, enjoying a slightly warmer camping spot off the ice.

Walk in the middle of the glacier following the medial moraine. Enjoy views of Masherbrum (7,821m) to the south. Navigate massive ice seracs with careful attention. Camp at Goro II, the confluence of Baltoro and Younghusband Glaciers, with views of Masherbrum and Muztagh Tower.

The day you’ve been waiting for! Trek continuously up the moraine as more towering peaks appear. Reach Concordia, the spectacular amphitheater where the Baltoro and Godwin-Austen glaciers meet. Stand surrounded by four 8,000m peaks: K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I and II, plus countless other giants including Mitre Peak and Sia Kangri.

Follow the Godwin-Austen Glacier toward K2 on a faint rocky trail. Pass Broad Peak base camp after 3 hours. Continue as K2 grows ever larger above you through the boulder and ice-strewn landscape. Visit the Art Gilkey Memorial honoring those who gave their lives on K2. Arrive at base camp beneath the towering southwest face of the Savage Mountain.

Begin the summit push! This four-week climbing period includes establishing camps, acclimatization rotations, waiting for optimal weather windows, and the final summit attempt. Our team will have established a fully equipped base camp with all necessary facilities. Rope fixing teams work to prepare the route through House’s Chimney, the Black Pyramid, the Shoulder, and the notorious Bottleneck couloir.

The climb follows the classic Abruzzi Ridge route with camps strategically placed at approximately 6,000m (Camp 1), 6,700m (Camp 2), 7,400m (Camp 3), and 7,800m (Camp 4). Multiple acclimatization rotations prepare your body for the extreme altitude. Weather reports guide the timing of the final summit push.
